It's the weekend. I hope you have a lot of fun things planned. On the shop side of things, I've added two new messenger bags to the shop. These bags are nice and roomy and lots of pockets to organize your belongings.

Shop News
It's so nice to get back to doing what I love...sewing. There is something very therapeutic about the whole process, from designing to making the finished product. This Emma ruffled bag is one of my favorites to make. I love the added ruffled detail. No two are alike. These ruffles are all made by hand.

New Wet Bags
We had really wet weather over the weekend. It was a nice change and helps us during this drought. I wish it would rain more often. I just love rainy days. Talking about rainy days, since it's Summer and we've been heading to the beach to enjoy the outdoors a bit. I whipped up some wet bags for the shop. They're the perfect companion for the beach.

Shop Update
Our children were home for quite a long break this Winter. Our children are going to three different schools and their return dates were all different so I've been relaxing and hanging out with them. Our oldest will start school again in a few days. I've been able to get back into the swing of things and did some sewing to add to the shop. I love this black, yellow and gray color combo. The yellow adds just the right pop of color to the bag.

New Clutch
I've been working on ruffled pouches. I love creating lots of pockets for organizing everyday essentials so I created the ruffles to also function as an exterior pocket.

Recipe Wednesday
Recipe Wednesday??? I think I will try to post recipes on Wednesdays to share with you. I am one of those people that don't really measure my ingredients, but because I am sharing a recipe I will do my best to measure. Nothing like food not coming out right when you try to make it for your family following someone else's recipe. If I don't measure something, I will let you know how to adjust it.
Up first is my favorite 3 ingredient recipe. You will have to buy some sauces already made but it is so good. I love taking out my crockpot for Sunday dinners and this one is so quick and easy to put together.
Here goes.
Up first is my favorite 3 ingredient recipe. You will have to buy some sauces already made but it is so good. I love taking out my crockpot for Sunday dinners and this one is so quick and easy to put together.
Here goes.
Chicken in Hoisin and Habanero Sauce
Ingredients:
1 - 5-6 lbs. package chicken thighs, remove the skin & excess fat
1 cup hoisin sauce
1 cup roasted habanero & pineapple sauce (Costco)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Cooked rice
These are the brands of sauces I used. Do not buy the hoisin sauce in a small jar. It does not taste the same.
1. Place chicken thighs in a large crockpot. It doesn't have to be a single layer.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the sauces and cornstarch. Pour over the chicken. Stir it up a bit to coat the chicken pieces.
3. Turn crockpot on high and cook for 3 1/2 hours.
I have cooked this for 4 hours because sometimes we get home from church later than normal and the chicken is still tender. The cornstarch makes the sauce nice and thick, perfect to go over rice.

Open For Business
Hello! Hello! I am happy to announce that the shop is OPEN!
I have been busy designing new products and branding for the shop. I love the new color theme. It's fresh, bright, fun and modern. The fun part is the pretty ruffle accents that I've added to the clutches and wristlets. I love feminine touch that it gives but yet packs a punch, from a casual outing to a night on the town these clutches and zip pouches are perfect for any occasion.
A large wristlet to hold your techie items, cosmetics and other essentials.
